Do you know what are the basics for swimming ? Well the basics are free style ,back stroke,floating ,and breathing .In my experience For learning how to swim I guess it was easy cause I already had experience but I wasn’t that well but being in the water polo team helped me learn to swim better .In pe I wouldn’t go into the pool because I’m a slow dresser and I knew I wouldn’t have enough time .Also because I had first period or so it would be really cold . But since last year I was in the water polo team that’s where I learned how to free style ,back stroke and float .
In my experience in learning how to swim it was easy .Since I loved being in the pool I kinda already knew how to swim I just need more help .For example when I first started I just swam in the not so deep part which was like in the 4ft then since we had to egg beat for water polo I had to go to the deep .So with practice I learned to swim in the deep without getting anxiety attacks since I once almost drowned .So for my progress it was just learning how to swim in the deep and learned how to egg beat .
For swimming I only learned how to backstroke which was pretty easy since to be able to back stroke you need to already know how to float .I already knew how to float so it was easy for me to learn how to do it .But for freestyle is where I had most trouble since I couldn’t hold my breath for that long .So I would only freestyle in the 4ft since I would stop a lot since water would get in my mouth . But after a while I kinda learned but I’m not that great .
I feel the same about swimming I still love it and I will always love it .I still want to learn how to free style more and back stroke more in the deep .Without getting anxiety attacks and almost drowning.Hopefull next year I join the water polo team and learn more about backstroke and freestyle so I could finally play in a game .
